Innovative Cancer Research: A showcase of novel work at Indiana’s academic institutions

According to the American Institute of Cancer Research, cancer costs reach $895 billion annually – costing more money than any other disease in the world. Cancer is the second-leading cause of death in the U.S. killing more than half a million Americans each year.

From molecular biosciences to advanced clinical trials and commercialization of drug therapies, Indiana’s universities are leading the charge to prevent cancer and to find a cure. In this Frameworx session, we will hear from leading researchers at Indiana University, Purdue University and University of Notre Dame who are working on innovative and novel solutions to improve diagnostic and therapeutic treatment of patients with cancer.

    • Timothy Ratliff, Ph.D., Robert Wallace Miller director of the Purdue University Center for Cancer Research, Distinguished Professor of Comparative Pathobiology in the School of Veterinary Medicine

    Following presentations, speakers will participate in a panel discussion moderated by Patrick J. Loehrer, Sr., MD, director of Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center and the H.H. Gregg Professor of Oncology and associate dean for cancer research at the Indiana University School of Medicine.

    Parking is available in the Chase Tower garage off of Pennsylvania Street or on the street level at parking meters.
